M.B.R. — Control equipment accomodation for tankers

We have developed the control device based on the mass-produced spark-protected equipment Exib that was recognized by the RS.

In compliance with the International Convention SOLAS-2002, (chapter 11-2 part B Reg 4.5.10.) the cargo pumping compartments of tankers should be equipped with pump temperature, hydrocarbon concentration and bilge water level controls before 01.06.2005.

©	We have developed the control device based on the mass-produced spark-protected equipment Exib that was recognized by the RS.

The control device makes it possible to check:

temperature of shaft glands in bulkheads, bearings and pump cases with the aid of thermal sensors and temperature measuring devices;
concentration of hydrocarbons with the aid of a gas analyzer;
water level in bilges with the aid of a level
gauge.

If necessary, the lighting of the cargo pump compartments is interlocked with the ventilation system so that ventilation is turned on upon switching on the lights.

If the operating parameters differ from the norm, all of them are indicated on the service personnel signaling panel in the cargo operation control station. Besides, the lights and audible signals are given in the engine room, navigating bridge and cargo pump compartment.
