With a view of fulfilling Rules 12 and 13 of Chapter XII, Maritime Convention SOLAS-74, (Compliance with SOLAS Part XII Reg. 12, MSC145(77) UISC180, RS Rules) that require all bulk carriers, irrespective of the year of construction, to be provided with water level gauges and that regulate a possibility of the ballasting system use, the Maritime Bureau of Register offers to develop designs and install all necessary gauges on board ships. The system is certificated by RS.
© We have developed our own Water Level Signaling System and may install it on board.

The water level signaling system is intended for detecting water inside ship holds and other spaces to be controlled on bulk ships carrying any kinds of cargo, including dangerous cargo.

Water is detected by means of level gauges based on seawater conductivity. The gauges are protected to IP 68, spark-protected in accordance with Exia IIBT6, made for climatic version OM5 as per GOST 15-150 and are intended for installation in holds and other protected spaces with a view of detecting water.

A control panel is designed to give visual and audible signals in case water has been detected and is installed on the navigating bridge of the ship. The panel provides for warning light and audible alarms and comes complete with the remote signaling unit. Signaling is accomplished due to a reserve power supply source (if the main power supply is not available) and cab be checked by means of an in-built device that is activated by depressing the pushbutton "TEST".

The panel is powered from:

  • the main a.c. power supply source 110V, 50-60 Hz:
  • the emergency d.c. storage batteries 24 V ±10%.

The signaling panel is protected to IP54 and spark-protected in the gauge power supply circuits [Exia] IIBX

Audible signaling can be disconnected by depressing the pushbutton "QUIT" on the signaling panel which also has an output to the external signaling system through the normally open contacts of the switch.
